The language was fine, but all the settings and options and flags to prepare for each project was too much. It's a mater of personal perspective too, some people like to work with IDE-s/RAD-s.. some other (like me too) want to code in simple text editors. To me it's a lot more complicated than notepad++ or jedit or lately emacs that I use :) I stopped making games in c++ (partially) because of it.
