I love LWJGL and Java with it. The code falls together quickly and I have so far a feeling of total control over it which is not what always true for my game projects.

Any new features in Waterisk 2?

Major feature is that input now works 100%, and that sound will also work (at least if I find someone who will make sound effects). Another major feature is that this will hopefully become an all-round product unlike W1.
Yes, there are plans to build and what to build on top of once I port all functionality from W1. The whole concept has been cooking for more than a I hope my vision is so clear now that I will be able to make a real product on the concept , and that it will somewhat work good..
(I saw you are making some turn based game, I am very into this… just hadn’t had a chance to get to them yet)
