BKG: Kicked the boss in the nuts - write down the password
April 3rd, 2006If building a traffic to website would be a platformer game, we just kicked some boss in the nuts and reached the next level. Now we are writing down the password of the level so we dont have to jump througth all the hops again.
Well, me and my wife worked really hard for month and a half to improve BKG in all possible ways. We kicked & puched with all our legs & arms at the same time and succeded to reach next level of visitors volume on www.bravekidgames.com .
Just today the magic line was crossed: We crossed the 1000 pages served in a day for the first time. So stats are:
- 1.103 Page Loads
- 289 Unique Visitors
- 50 Returning visitors
All three numbers are the highest so far! For comparisson the average day of january (before kicking and punching round started) was:
- 240 Page Loads
- 116 Unique visitors
- 15 Returning visitors
You can see all numbers, not just uniq. visitors improved greatly. This reminds me of a scentence I read a month ago at Seth Godin’s blog. He says people allways ask… “How can I get more traffic?” The response was I think “You can’t get it, you have to earn it”. I am glad to say, he is correct

Why don’t you post in one of upcoming entries how did you maneged it to get to the next level. I am really curious because I’m in the same boat as you are

We did nothing special really but a lot of small things. I will make a post with that now that you said it.
Then after this level came another thing that pushed us even more levels up… and believe it or not I was thinking about proposing YOU this same thing for several months… but didn’t yet found enougth time for it all… I will write you email in the folowing days… nothing so special again … so you wont expect too much
